Billions of dollars are spent annually on increasingly digital and data-driven forms marketing, from mobile advertising to social media to email campaigns based on sensor data. The purpose of the Accord Digital Marketing Working Group is to produce standards and open source tools to bring greater visibility, value, and meaning to marketing relationships using smart legal contracts. Essential to this goal is bringing real-time visibility to the value being derived from marketing campaigns by integrating the wide variety of data sources and analytics into agreements.
Specific contracting problems to be addressed by the Smart City Working Group include:
data transparency, visibility, and real-time monitoring for public contracts;
consolidation and digitization of real estate, deeds, land title registry, and related contracts and sales and closing practices;
data-driven pre-project approvals, milestone payments, and post-development maintenance for construction contracts;
integration and automated administration of construction contracts between developers, consultants, general contractors, and subcontractors;
incorporation of real-time health and environmental impact measures into contracts;
tolls and traffic congestion pricing;
using smart legal contracts to improve sharing economy approaches to transportation, housing, infrastructure;
promotion of municipal open data;
meter and performance-based energy allocation and pricing;
interoperability among IoT, wireless, and other municipal communication networks for aggregation into contracts.
